External coaches usually offer coachees a greater assurance of confidentiality and objectivity than internal coaches, whilst bringing the expertise of what is for them a dedicated profession.

Matching coaches with coachees following training has been found to improve the effectiveness of learning by as much as 88%, compared with just 22% resulting from training alone. However, the benefits of offering 1:1 coaches for your executives or employees extend well beyond personal development.

Proactive Style Customer Awarded Top Coaching Accolade

We are delighted to congratulate the Metropolitan Police Service, a Proactive Style customer, on the announcement that its Coaching Programme has been awarded the European Mentoring and Coaching Council's European Quality Award, a kite-mark awarded in recognition of excellence in coach training and development.

Proactive Style supported the Metropolitan Police Service's application for this award, moderating the programme and providing advice and knowledge-ware to support its different stages. The Service is the first non-commercial public sector organisation in Europe to be granted the Award, following a rigourous multi-level process of assessment and moderation against other applicants and existing Award holders.
