Training Manager, Sussex Partnership NHS Trust

Time and money often don't allow for individuals to take days out for training courses, but recent research into learning styles and effectiveness indicates that such programmes needn't be the most effective approach for instilling new knowledge and skills either.

Our keynote workshops pack a wealth of insights into just 90 minutes, usually accompanied by brief role-plays, memorable activities and other exercises to maximise delegates' learning experience. These may be run on your site over easy break points in the working day such as at lunch-times and breakfast.

Our workshops draw on our specialised knowledge and observation of what is effective in making coaching and mentoring skills stick following initial training. Specifically, we have drawn on many organisations' insights of what works and what problems delegates experience in reality. This has enabled us to incorporate relevant and wide-ranging learning points in our workshops.

The workshops allow for both a 'one-off' and 'little but often' approach to training, and engage learning on specific themes at a time, many relevant as skill builder or refresher classes for the pre-trained or experienced manager as well as for novices. Practical follow-up is encouraged, and most workshops are accompanied by comprehensive notes.

Our training assocoates bring many years' experience and are experts in their field.

At a small extra cost, delegates may familiarise with and receive their personal copy of one of our People ASSiST™ personal organiser, providing a practical day-to-day guide as they begin coaching or mentoring. These may be easily customised to reference in-house terminology, initiatives and organisation-specific case studies.

Workshops may be run for as few as 4 delegates, making them suitable and affordable for SME's and smaller organisations, as well as for larger organisations who want to test the water with a new learning approach.
